  • An attractive and well-stocked library/information centre, with CD Rom, Internet and careers information, which is open to students at lunch time, before and after school.

  • Two practical food technology rooms, including provision for advanced work.
  • Four art rooms plus a pottery kiln room.
  • Three practical music rooms and a suite of practice music rooms.

There is also extensive provision for English, mathematics, languages, geography, history, business studies and general teaching, including a suite of smaller specialist classrooms for students with special educational needs.

In addition to the above, the school has priority claim during the school day to the Bramston Sports Centre. Students have year-round access to heated indoor swimming pools, sports hall, gymnasium, squash courts, and other specialist facilities. These, together with extensive outdoor playing fields and an all-weather pitch, provide excellent sports facilities.


The Sixth Form Centre provides education for post-16 students in Witham and surrounding areas, and is attractively laid out on the John Bramston site. The specialist accommodation includes:

  • Library/Information Centre, with large private study area, Internet access and CD Rom network
  • Extensive computer and word processing facilities
  • Student common room
  • Specially equipped sixth form teaching rooms.

The Sixth Form Centre offers a most attractive post-16 environment, combining the identity and adult atmosphere of a college with the support and familiarity of school. The Centre publishes its own separate brochure, which is available on request from the school.
