Meeting the Governors |

| The Governors are the major representatives of the
local community having an influence on the school. Following the
1986 (No. 2), 1988 and 2002 Education Acts, the duties and responsibilities
of governors have been strengthened so that they are required to
determine most aspects of school life, from the appointment of staff
to the details of the school curriculum. |

 ACADEMY STATUS FEASIBILITY STUDY
The Governing Body is continuing to explore the possibility of the John Bramston School moving to Academy Status in federation with Greensward College and the Rickstones School. The proposal is to discontinue the John Bramston School on the 31St August 2008 and to open a new Academy in its place on 1st September 2008.
