Tutors at the Sixth Form College
It is the role of the College Tutors to provide students with the help and support they need during this vitally important stage in their education. College Tutors, along with Mr Bailey and Mrs Langwith, monitor punctuality, attendance, behaviour and performance in their chosen courses. Tutors are the link between course teachers and parents and liaise with parents with any issues or concerns. Tutorial time is an opportunity for Tutors to assist with University applications, personal statements, CVs as well as offering discussions and advice on a wide range of topics to assist with personal development and the transition from College Student to moving on to work or higher education. Tutors help students to think about “life after John Bramston”, assist students with self-assessment, exam skills and revision programmes. For students planning to go to University, Tutors support students in the University application process (UCAS).
